What the brand says
The new collection of Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip colours transform the way you experience lip colour with their unique 100% wax free gel technology.
Unlike a lot of traditional lipsticks that are formulated with wax, this wax free formula is lightweight and helps to leave lips feeling moisturised.
The Lowdown
I've tried a few lip products recently that have started to move away from the typical wax formulation but still provide fantastic colour. These include Makeup Revolution Lip Lava in Firestorm and L'Oreal Sexy Balm in Never Stop.
The collection is available in 7 shades that are themed around Love with names like Passion, Obsession, Devotion and of course Love. The majority of shades are quite girly with a lot of focus on the pinker side of the colour spectrum.
For the purposes of the review I am testing the gorgeous bright pink shade Obsession. The consistency of the formula is quite gloopy but it's not too overbearing. You apply it with a long wand like you would get with a lip gloss. It has an amazing smell and as soon as you open it you get a strong whiff of Mango and Vanilla.
The product is a lovely bright pink although I'm not quite sure it really suits my skin colour. It dries matte quite quickly and it doesn't feel drying. It's not the most long lasting of lip colours and disappears within a couple of hours. Eating and drinking whilst wearing it is a no go as the colour comes off even quicker.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip colour is really easy to wear and feels great. I don't think Obsession is really my colour but who's to say what the other shades would looked like on.
I give it 3/5
