When it comes to what you put on your lips everyone has a preference. Some people love the glamour lipstick can give whilst others prefer the subtlety of a tinted lip balm. Now that we have the pleasure of coloured balm, choosing the simple or the sleek is made that much more simple but the question still lies...

Team Lipstick
Lipsticks are perfect if you love the matte, perfectly finished look. Remember to apply a lipbalm at night so your lips don't dry out when you're applying your lippie in the morning.

• Don't forget lipstick is not a option for the low maintenance girl. With the strong colours that lipstick comes in you'll find that the smallest of flaws can be exposed by imperfect pout. Every glamourpuss requires a bit of commitment.

 
Team Tinted Lip Balm
Tinted lip balms are perfect if you just want a quick burst of colour. Lip balm is quite low maintenance so you won't be creating any wow power pouts. 

• Unlike lipstick, with a lip balm lip liners and blotting are a big NO NO. Lip balm is perfect for that just thrown on, unstructured look, so if you're putting on lip liner it will be quite a strange contrast.
