5 ways to revamp your look without spending a penny
Being a girl is cheap... said no one ever. Being a girl requires a lot of maintenance what with all the hair appointments, manicures, waxing (if you're brave enough) and expensive lotions and potions. Whilst it's very tempting to splurge on the latest must have, sometimes it's just not possible, especially at the end of the month when times are hard. To make the last few weeks a little easier here's 5 ways to revamp your look without spending a penny.
Try a new look
If you always wear your makeup the same you probably find things can get a little boring. Why not try a different technique to normal to change things up a little? You could try a bold new lipstick or perhaps add a little eyeshadow if you normally go without. You'll be surprised by what a difference it can make to your look and how many compliments you'll receive.
Whiten your teeth naturally
There's so many whitening strips and toothpastes on the market that claim they'll give you pearly whites in no time. Whilst some do work, the cost of maintaining this can start to rack up after a while. Instead of splashing the cash try mixing baking soda and lemon juice into a paste and use this as your own homemade tooth whitening solution. The baking soda will help to remove stains from your tooth enamel whilst the lemon juice has a whitening effect.
Make a homemade face mask
I bet if you raided your kitchen now you'll find plenty of items you can use to make your own natural face mask. You normally only require a few ingredients, and the best thing is you'll know there's no nasty chemicals lurking that might irritate your skin.
Change your hairstyle
If you always wear your hair the same way then you may not be aware of what a different look can do to bring out your features. If your hair is always straight why not wear it curly, or perhaps add a bouffant into your updo a la Audrey Hepburn. It will definitely change the way you see yourself.
Stand up straight
It's so easy to slouch and it can actually be very damaging for your back. Slumping can leave you feeling tired and fed up which is not the best way to start your day. Pull your back straight and notice the difference it makes.
