Sleek highlighting palette in Solstice review

sleek highlighting palette solstice

What the brand says
Sleek have got it in the bag with their quad highlighting palette that's designed to suit all skin tones. The palette is in shade Solstice and has two baked powders, a cream formula and a luxury silky shimmer powder. It can be used all over the face for a radiant glow and on the skin for a luminous sheen.

The Lowdown
I've seen this palette on so many blogs and youtube videos and it looks so beautiful. In all the pictures the highlighter pigment looks so strong and gives a fabulous glow. I had resisted buying

it till now but on a recent browse in Boots I had to add it to my basket.

The shades are quite universal and it's great that it's suitable for all skin tones as it makes it a lot more accessible. The palette has a little instruction guide on the back which shows how you can use each highlighter shade for a different part of your face. It's great that it's broken it down like this as I would probably tend to stick to one or two shades when applying highlighter so it's good to step outside the box a bit.

The palette is encased in super sleek shiny gold packaging and that makes it look more expensive than it actually is. Each highlighter seems to have a galaxy inspired name which may be inspired by the highlighters intense sparkle.

sleek highlighting palette solstice swatchEcliptic and Hemisphere are definitely the most pigmented of the highlighters and give a gorgeous finish. I love how natural Hemisphere looks and it gives a really subtle glow that the light catches and it literally lasts all day. Subsolar is very subtle and gives a light subtle gold shimmer whilst Equinox is very glittery when applied to the skin.

As for longevity every highlighter was visible around 8 hours later although Hemisphere was the only one that looked the same as it did when it was applied. The creamier shadows Ecliptic and Subsolar had started to lose their intensity whilst Equinox my least favourite just looked like a lot of separated glitter. I did apply Equinox to my cupid's bow so it may work better on another location like the cheekbones as it does look fabulous in the swatch.

This is a fabulous palette with some stunning highlighters and I think it will probably become my number one palette to go to when I apply highlighter.

I give it 4/5
